HALLOWEEN 2009

twin bat girls

he would not put his bucket down! Even though he could barely carry it!

James was Willie Nelson for his work party

Here are some pics of the kids on Halloween. We had a great time, although Ethan did not enjoy his costume, but we had fun. I have never seen so many people out on Halloween as I did in our neighborhood, it was great!

An original idea......

Below are some pictures of a craft project that I came up with. And if you know me well you know that I don't come up with crafty ideas on my own, so I was pretty proud of myself to come up with these. The kids always bring a ton of papers home from school, and it always tends to be things that I need to keep, for reminders or what not. Well James hates having papers all over the house, so I came up with these cork boards. I just stenciled with paint their names and put ribbon around it- easy as can be! Now I just hold all of their papers up with push pins, so they aren't laying all over my house!

Football Fever!

In order to make this move a little better of a transition for the kids we put Tristen in football and Lauren in cheerleading. She cheers for his team!
Tristen is an offensive lineman (and sometimes he plays defensive line) for the Steelers. He has kids crying from his tackles and runnin' for the sidelines so he won't tackle them again- he is doin' great! He told me a couple of weeks ago that "football has changed his life!"
Lauren's cheer coach, who was a cheerleader herself for high school and college, says that Lauren is a natural born cheer leader, she missed one game and coach said the squad was not the same without her- she loves it!
I am beginning to think that it does not matter where you live- people take football really seriously at whatever age! I thought Jenks was bad but Owensboro is just the same. They have a very nice football park with 4 fields, that they built 5 years ago just for the youth football league ages 5-12. It is amazing!

GO STEELERS!
